"HIGH CORR" CONTROLLED FLEXING SERIES 150 / 300 PSIG EXPANSION JOINTS
MDC high pressure Controlled Flexing, High Corrugation expansion joints combine a corrugated pressure carrier with closely mated neck rings and reinforcing or control rings. This constructio permits their use with higher pressures (150 psig and 300 psig) in applications where large amounts of axial movement are required. Widely used in such applications as process and steam lines, pump suction and discharge lines, turbine-to-condenser connections and fuel supply lines. Available with either Vanstone (floating) flanges (Model CSF) or with weld ends (Model CSW).

Internal liners are required for steam, air and other gases where velocities exceed 4’/sec. per inch of diameter for diameters up to 6 in. and where velocities exceed 25’/sec. in diameters above 6 in.

For water and other liquids, the corresponding values are 1.66’/sec. and 10’/sec. Maximum movement per single 10-corrugation joint: 7-1/2”. For larger movements use dual joints. Dual joints are furnished with an anchor base.
