WIDE ARCH TYPE MODEL 301 RUBBER EXPANSION JOINTS
Mark David Canada Inc. offers a wide arch type expansion joint, Model 301. This style differs from the standard spool type in few ways. There is no metal reinforcing imbedded in the carcass, and pressure is contained by using an integral sleeve on the back-up flange.

It provides external tangent support against forces generated by line pressure. The arch is much wider than that of a conventional joint, which allows for greater movement. The shape of a wide arch is “flowing”, eliminating the need for filled arches in slurry services. It is a “self-flushing” arch that eliminates media build-up and reduces fluid turbulence.
Model 301 expansion joints have successfully served all major industries, including pulp and paper, steel, waste and water, HVAC, power generation, chemical, petrochemical and marine.

Flat face flanges are integral with the body and mate to 125/150# drilled piping flanges. Flat face flanges and low spring rates make MDC Model 301 rubber expansion joint ideal for plastic and fiberglass piping applications.
